WIW 06.11-13 [ensemble blue, white, gray - casual weekend edition]

A few casual weekend outfits with the light blue, white, and pearl gray ensemble, a favorite palette of mine! These colors are well represented in the casual part of my wardrobe, definitely less options on the dressy end right now.

#2 Saturday 06.11. Worn to run errands. A little sporty with the linen striped sweater and perforated flats, and a little boho with the gray fringed clutch and silver jewelry. Finished with better-than-nude peachy lip balm.

#3 Sunday 06.12. Worn out to lunch and a walk on the waterfront. My best options for the ensemble! Accessorized with aqua metallic snakeskin box clutch, rock crystal stud earrings, and cherry lip gloss. This is one of my most worn weekend outfit formulas -- patterned sweater, skinny jeans, sleek footwear, light gloss, and soft extra-messy hair.

#4 Monday 06.13. Worn to pick up my sis from the airport, so the main outfit goal was "comfortable for 3 hours driving in the car." Went with an ultra soft ultra oversized aqua sweater, white slim BF jeans, and taupe shooties. Added a little "gray" with the silver holo clutch and new marbled double-ball earrings (H&M). Finished with bubblegum pink lipstick for a little brightness.

#5. Detail photos.

As always comments, critiques, thoughts and questions welcome!

What a gorgeous palette on you! It's a struggle to pick a favorite, but I think I'm going with #1 for the effortless chic factor. Love the soft, messy hair! I know it's often too hot to wear it down, but it's so gorgeous.

Oh my,what a lot of gorgeousness. The Gap skimmers were made for you and I like how you turned up the hem on the white jeans. Bubblegum pink is perfect with this palette. A lot of variety in the silhouette while keeping the color scheme the same means lots of inspiration - thanks Aida!

How beautiful! I really like the addition of aqua blue with this pallet. Your accessories are perfect too.

Ooh nice! It's hard to chose a favorite but I think I'm going with #2. I really like that shade of grey and the pattern of the sweater. I'm so upset that I lost one of the backs to my double ball earrings.

Again winning color palette. Such soft yet impactful colors. I really like your peep toes

Simply lovely. Particularly the pale mint appeals to me. I love mint.

These are all so lovely! I love this color palette, including the bubblegum pink!

    Really good! I love most:
    - Your hair up
    - The open toe spectator-inspired shoes.
Rolled cuffs and long tunic is a different look for you I think. It suits you well! I think you should explore this direction.

A very pretty capsule of outfits. Killer all round, and I can't pic a fave. You look so good in mint!

These are all gorgeous on you, Aida, and #3 is smashing. I am a big fan of this color palette, too. Love your "soft messy hair".

Simply elegant and beautiful. All outfits after my own heart. I could copy a couple in a minute! :)

Love to see those oxfords still in play -- that is a great shoe.

I love these soft colors on you, especially the mint. All the outfits are beautiful.  I particularly like the way you ramp up the style with your wonderful clutches.

You look beautiful in this color palette.

Really pretty, Aida. All three outfits are great- and I'm noticing how even on a weekend, your footwear isn't exactly " casual" ;)  Very polished  and a gorgeous palette for you.

  • Jenn replied 7 years ago

Lovely, light outfits, Aida! I noticed the same thing as Lisa. I admire your ability to wear a heel. Those peep-toe oxfords are amazing!

  • Elizabeth P replied 7 years ago

    Oh, how PRETTY!

  • celia replied 7 years ago

Whatever color scheme you pick you always rock it. Your outfits are amazing.
I still have those heeled Oxfords also :)

That aqua colour looks so beautiful on you ! I also like your hair up and the shimmery clutch in this outfit.

  • Aida replied 7 years ago

Thank you for the comments, ladies! Lots of love for the aqua :D It's one of my favorite shades but seems tough to find.

Krish, I don't wear tunics often but I do have a few and am enjoying wearing them with cropped bottoms this season, whether that's kick crops or simply rolled hems. Definitely like the look best with my hair up which limits how often it can be worn (hair up is tough on my hair so I generally only do it once or twice a week).

Lisa and Jenn, hah yes you got me! The above outfits' shoes aren't particularly "casual". I do have a pair of chambray sneaks which I'd pop on with any of the above looks if I needed something more active or rugged. But if I can get away with not wearing sneakers, I'm absolutely not going to ;)

You wear these colors really well. I also live the peep-toe oxfords.
My fav is outfit #3, it's effortlessy chic, and the hairdo completes it

I love these & that aqua tunic loves you :)

Ohhh, what a gorgeous soft palette! Those shades of light blue suit you so well. I really love your shoes here (today I've been wearing pale grey heeled oxfords that are a little like your shooties)  and the holographic clutch is TDF. I'm also loving the touches of pink in lip colour and rose gold watch. Your attention to detail never ceases to amaze me, and I love your inherent dressiness....don't ever change eh?

Thank you Chiara, Caro, and Diane! :D
