WIW thanksgivings oranges

Hope everyone had a lovely weekend. Here are my various Thanksgivings outfits, which I thought would be fun to style around orange (and red) pieces. Orange makes me hungry! :D Worn for visiting (#2), hosting (#3,4), and restaurant (#5) meals.

Mainly old pieces with a handful of new things: orange textured sweater, plaid bomber, and orange floral scarf. The outfit in #5 I feel ambivalent about, not something enough (still thinking -- trendy? printed? glitzy? dramatic? probably dramatic.) for me.

casual before the rain

A few recent casual outfits worn for various errands, weekend stuff, very low-key work days, etc. before the rain really hit. It has now arrived in full force, so I guess that's my cue to move to boots for the next 5 months as we enter my dominant, but unfortunately not particularly favorite, kind of dressing: rainy fall/winter casual. Mainly because it's just sooooo long and limits the range of silhouettes I can wear. To help I put up a pretty bit of framed corkboard in my closet on which I plan to pin any casual outfits I really liked wearing for quick and easy future repeat reference :)

Comments, critiques, thoughts and questions welcome.

(PS I did also wear coats with most of these: wool charcoal plaid with #3,4 and cream trench with #5)

A few WIW recently!

Hello ladies, it's been a while, eh? ^^ Thought I'd post a few recent outfits with a handful of new items (coral sweater, plaid bomber, yellow blouse, navy pompom) and plenty of oldies-but-goodies. If there's no coat in a photo I wore my charcoal plaid coat, don't worry!

I've been tweaking my style descriptors ever so slowly the past year or two and am finally feeling just about sorted (profile updated). Not adding many new pieces means it's mostly involved being stricter when styling my existing pieces so they fit the newer direction -- stern but consistent reminders that just because things can be worn together doesn't mean that I have to do it, and just because I liked a combo a year (or two or three) ago doesn't mean that it's pushing me forward now. It does feel nice to have a couple new pieces to work with again, though, especially since F/W is my dominant season and dressing for it is NOT my favorite.

Been taking photos sporadically, most often on the first wear of an outfit I really like so I have an easy reference for later repeats. I will try to post a few of them here and there :)

As always comments, critiques, thoughts and questions welcome!

(EDIT: Eep! Giant blob of Finds. Too bad I can't set it to "small" ><)
