I totally loved Celia's recent black, camel and leopard outfit with the Trouve blazer (seen here), and of course couldn't help but want to wear a copycat of it especially since I have the same blazer! I wanted to wear the outfit right away, but decided to save it for my brother-in-law's birthday dinner with my in-laws. It was perfect for the occasion and I felt super fab all evening. Thanks for the great inspiration, Celia :D

EDIT: The non-scarf version only came out to play during dinner once food arrived; I didn't feel like cracking open piles of crab and buttering all my seafood with the scarf on ;)

For the past 1.75 years I've taken photos of my outfits and posted them online to the site "Weardrobe" (which just takes a photo, catalogs items, and a very brief bit of text). It was a fabulous way for me to track my growth, see how I've worn things, etc. but certainly not a true "style blog". A few of you may have noticed I'd removed the link from my profile; they were apparently bought by Google and the entire site taken down. There wasn't much notification, just one email that I hadn't caught, so I noticed my site was gone while in LA (not the best time, I was very sad). Upon return Heather suggested I take the plunge and start a Real, Actual Blog. So I did! It can be found here:

I'm still working out layout kinks, post kinks, all that. But it's basically in final form, if a week behind; hoping to get everything up this weekend and from there start posting outfits daily. I wanted to share my exciting venture with you all :D

I love love love the Fall 70s outfit Angie recently posted (see here!) that uses tweed and suede/leather for textural interest. This isn't quite the same outfit, but this is what I had in my closet to try it out :)

I think this jacket may be too short to wear with pants this way; perhaps my high-waisted wide leg jeans would be better paired with it, or untucking the top? What do you ladies think about the jacket length with normal-height jeans like these? I'm also wearing the belt and ring Lynne sent me (than you again Lynne!! <3). I felt very fab and cozy in this, worn on my sister's birthday to help her with her homework.
