My Seattle swap goodies!

I highly enjoyed the swap experience! It was great to see so many of my items find new homes, and I came away with 4 really great pieces. Looking forward to seeing photos of what everyone got *hint hint!*

  1. White safari button-up shirt and gray wide leg lightly-flared pants (already PPL with my 4" heels, love!). The pants actually drape better than the photo shows because I was still wearing cotton leggings underneath when I took the photo; looking forward to having these lightweight pants for spring/summer!
  2. Olive semi-sheer tunic sweater which I tried at Angie's request and, of course, she was right :)
  3. Black double-breasted trench coat, finally I have one!

Thanks again to all the ladies who brought lovely goods, I'm looking forward to wearing my new-to-me items!

This is so great Aida. No surprises there, the olive tunic is fantastic, looks like it was made just for you.
I love the shirt and the trench too, I can see them featuring in many WIWs :)

They all look great, especially the trench! What a score!

  • MsMary replied 13 years ago

Wow, awesome! SCORE!!! I especially love the,,, I can't choose. I love it all!

Nice haul! Great tunic and trench especially. I'm jealous of ALL the swap attendees. Most of the time my coworkers and I just bring bags of clothes into the bar at separate random times and we rustle through whenever we have time before or after a shift - not quite as fun or organized.

    Ooooh Great Haul!!

How awesome to have the divine Miss Angie making suggestions :)

I officially have Swap Envy LOL

  • Aida replied 13 years ago

Thanks everyone, it's certainly fun to have input from several stylish ladies while trying new things on! Also nice to have such a great selection to look through, less frustrated editing necessary :)

Theresa - I'm glad Angie was there to suggest as well, because (well not ONLY because, but, you know!) I didn't even see this tunic! We were picking things up at the end of the swap and Angie pulled the tunic out and asked if I'd tried it; I hadn't, and was certainly glad she suggested I did!

Have to agree with everyone. These are all great pieces to base many looks on. Well done!

You look fabulous, Aida! You really rock olive and that tunic shape. Very yum and nicely different. Thanks for trying it for me and for sporting PPL's at the swap. It tickled my toes :)

  • Aida replied 13 years ago

I don't have many tops with this tunic shape (never seem to be able to find them while shopping) but I really do like it. I think I like how it looks with these wider pants versus skinnies as well, possibly because it's snug? Though I'm sure not everyone would sport this silhouette.

My pleasure to sport PPL! I originally realized the power of PPL by accident because most pants were too long. Back then I didn't realize I could get them tailored so I just decided to wear tall heels :)

Great finds...especially the trench and the handpicked by Angie olive tunic.

So, so jealous that y'all had Angie there. I think next time I'm going to have to fly to Seattle to attend the swap! Anyone have a spare bed? : )

great tunic and great color on you. wonderful pics.

  • Audrey replied 13 years ago

The black trench is a 10! Love the olive tunic also.

  • FoolOfATook replied 13 years ago

They are all lovely pieces, but I like the tunic on you the best!

  • marianna replied 13 years ago

Everything is killer on you! Lucky girl! :)

  • Reneeb replied 13 years ago

Great find I love the trench coat fab. The olive tunic looks good. Sounds like you ladies had a good time.

  • Laura replied 13 years ago

Hi Aida! This is Laura..previous owner of the black trench :) It's great to see that it's found a new home. I think the grey pants were your best find! Like you said, they're even PPL!!

  • Aida replied 13 years ago

Thanks all, glad everyone likes these lovely items! (And another big thanks to the ladies who brought these to the swap, I'm very happy to have them :) )

*waves to Laura* Love the trench, I plan to wear it all spring and summer! Thank you so much for bringing it! (I think we did a true swap, you got my blue marled tunic sweater right?)

  • CocoLion replied 13 years ago

The green tunic shows off your toned figure so nicely. I think it would work with either fuller or slim pants. Maybe even cropped leggings and sandals in the summer.

I was looking at black trenches from Miss Sixty today and thinking how I "need" one, too. ; )

    Wow what great swaps x

  • RoseandJoan replied 13 years ago

Such a great haul, who could resist a personal recommendation from Angie?

  • Lynne replied 13 years ago

Gorgeous, that trench has Aida written all over it - so nice of Laura to part with it! Can't wait to hear more about the Seattle swaP..

  • Lena replied 13 years ago

Great finds, Aida! Is the tunic a new shape for you? I really like it. And the trench is such a useful and stylish item.

  • Inge replied 13 years ago

You have some new winners in your closet, Aida. Such fab finds! And thank you for sharing them with us!!

  • kellygirl replied 13 years ago

Great haul, Aida! Love the tunic on you--it's different and super flattering, you svelte thing you!

  • Sveta replied 13 years ago

Great finds, Aida! I am glad you were a nice girl and listened to Angie :-)

  • Aida replied 13 years ago

Thanks everyone! Also thanks for thinking I'm in better shape than I am (made my day!), shows how dressing your body appropriately can really make you look slimmer :D

CocoLion - I tried it and I think the tunic might be a little too, erhm, bootylicious with leggings ;) If I manage to drop some of the holiday pounds (working on that) I'll try again in a month or two!

Lena - I have a couple tunics but I don't wear them often; none of them are shaped like this though so maybe that's part of their problem. I haven't quite figured out the right proportions I need for a tunic to work and not make me look too short (which I am).

  • Lisa replied 13 years ago

Wow look at those PPL in #1. Long but not hitting the ground. What a great haul you have here! The trench is my favorite.
