WIW 01.20-22 (including my Seattle swap outfit)

End of the week outfits, including what I wore to the Seattle swap.

  1. Worn to work. The top is navy, though it was raining too hard to get a good photo. Still enjoying mixing black and brown.
  2. Worn to work, then out for dinner and drinks with my husband. I don't wear this dress much, the fit is a bit large and boxy especially at the lower back. But it's my only shirtdress, I love the light material and I love the pattern. Not sure if having darts put in the back would help? I currently cannot wear it unbelted.
  3. Worn to the swap! I fretted about what to wear, knowing I wanted a black camisole and leggings underneath whatever it was. I decided on a look with some of my favorite (and recognizable) pieces: striped top in neutrals, tall tall heels, and a moto jacket.

I just LOVED the outfit you wore to the Swap. KILLER and you strike a beautiful pose in it.

Thanks Angie, happy to hear that! I figured I should wear a very me outfit for my first time meeting everyone :)

(I had wanted to ask you about my coloring and shape, but forgot in all the excitement. Hopefully we'll have another meet-up soon and I can pick your brain quickly!)

I think #3 is great. Also am fond of the green shirtdress, but it seems like adding an additional element: scarf, chunky bracelet?? would really finish it up. Love the boots with the tights, good proportions.

Love all your outfits Aida - especially your gorgeous boots in the second outfit. Please tell me which boots these are I'm on the lookout for some boots for Winter!

Love the plaid dress (gorgeous color on you) and the swap outfit especially.

Audry - Good idea, I'll have to try adding some chunky jewelry next time!

Puff - These boots have a 14.5" circumference, you're looking for 15" right? I found some similar ones that might work for you!

I saw this and meant to comment and then couldn't find the thread again. Boy, things move fast around here lately. LOVE you in the dress. Killer boots. I think #3 is your signature look--total Aida style!

I love all of these looks! The plaid shirtdress is adorable, and your swap outfit is perfect. Re. having darts put into the shirtdress: a good tailor should be able to do that no problem, but if you are happy to belt it whenever you wear it, you could keep it as-is, since it's so cute that way.

As always everything is expertly assembled to create an easy, chic style!

    Thanks ladies :)

Kelly - I've noticed the forum picking up speed as well! Did you get your DAW in? I'm already almost out of dresses!

Jonesy - Thanks for commenting about the darts, I wasn't sure if that's what would solve the problem or not so I think I'll try to get that done. I like wearing a belt with it (and most likely usually will) but I think I'd wear it more if I had the option of wearing it plain as well.

    CocoLion - Thank you!

Thanks for asking, Aida. I did my DAW last week but was too harried to get it posted. I'll double up this week : )
