A string of super casual looks.

  1. Worn to work. Bit of a lazy outfit but comfy, which was good because I ended up at work until 1am (14 hours, boo).
  2. Worn to work then out for dinner. Wanted to wear something that my husband would like for date night :)
  3. Worn on Saturday to get sandwiches, then had some friends over for dinner, bottling beer, and TV.
  4. Worn on Sunday to run some errands, then came home and did some organizing; rare flats appearance. Busted out some spring polish, though it's a bit early (also early to wear flats with no socks, for that matter).

    I REALLY like #3! such a fun look :-)

  • nicoleb replied 13 years ago

I just have to say i love how you always take time to make your pictures so pretty! I wish i could go outside!

I think they all look good but i love #4 the blue looks beautiful with your skin and hair coloring.

Love these looks- you look right out of an urban outfitters catalog. the bright blue with brown looks great with your coloring! I love the tough, urban look with your pretty and feminine long hair. Very nice- thank you for posting!

Great outfits, Aida! Love the pastel scarf with the black--unexpected and fun. You wear stripes and plaids so well--I especially love the tunic. Belt and boots in that ensemble are perfect! #2: That's nice that you wear what DH likes and you manage to do it without looking like a lumberjack. : ) Fab, all the way!

I love, love, love that black trench coat on you! Super stylish!

  • catgirl replied 13 years ago

The bright blue is amazing on you. So glad to see your outfit posts again!

    Thanks ladies!

Nicole - Thanks for the compliment on the photos! I think making them pretty helped a lot to boost my confidence, especially when I first started this style adventure :)

Jean - Your comment gave me a good "Aha!" I usually just experiment to see what hair style matches an outfit, but you just nailed it for me: feminine hair with tough looks, tough hair with girly looks. Thank you!!

Kelly - I didn't even notice I had stripes/plaid in all four of these! For date night outfits, I've started keeping the outfits down to "one weird thing" as my husband kindly says :)

(Una, I usually have my outfits up-to-date over on Weardrobe, the website linked in my profile, even if I'm a bit behind here on YLF. Just if you're curious :) )

Aida, you do the casual cool thing so well!

You look great in that blue, and I also love the black trench on you. And that nail color is awesome!

  • lyn* replied 13 years ago

#3 is my favorite (the belt gives you such a small middle!), although the blue in #4 looks awesome on you ... did I ever tell you what an awesome jacket collection you have? (You have an awesome jacket collection!)

    Hope the sandwiches were yummy.

Aida, I love when you post, too! You look terrific in all.

What is that purse in pic 4? It is a little gem!

  • MsMary replied 13 years ago

Another winning Aida set! I especially love #4 -- the bright blue and the brown are just fantastic together! (*taking notes*)

  • Dani replied 13 years ago

Great outfits...love your necklace in #2! I love the simplicity of the first outfit. I'm trying to learn not to pack so much into my outfits. Btw...where did you get your black stretchy belt?

  • Aunty replied 13 years ago

Great outfits. That blue is fab on you!

  • rae replied 13 years ago

I love your nails and darling bag in #4! The shearling jacket is cool, too, and my SO would like your date night outfit as well (although mine hates heels, o_0). Keep the casual looks coming!

  • Lynne replied 13 years ago

Aida, the colours you are wearing in 4 (vivid blue with brown) are just fantastic on you. You could wear blue and brown for a year and I for one would not get tired of enjoying your posts (although you might :) ). I'm not so fond of the pastel scarf on you, I prefer you in deeper colours....FWI.?

  • Aida replied 13 years ago

Thanks for all the lovely comments, everyone! I guess I should be looking for more pieces in that bright blue :)

Lyn - That's how I feel about your dress collection! (It's awesome!)

hbaber - The purse in #4 is from Forever 21, picked up last spring.

Dani - The stretchy belt is (also) from Forever 21, picked up this past fall. I like them for cheaper accessories that I don't wear often, but it does take some work to find gems.

Rae - The heels were my "one weird thing"; my husband doesn't like heels either! I thought guys were supposed to like them, what's with that?!

Lynne - While I like and wear muted colors, I do generally stay away from pastels. I bought this scarf before officially deciding not to wear them and rarely wear it, don't worry ;)

  • Heather replied 13 years ago

No way! F21? Wow. It really is a gem.

  • Debora replied 13 years ago

What a great set, Aida! The outfit in #4 especially blew me away. You look fabulous in blue and I love that jacket on you. You also look very polished in your trench. Well done!

  • Aida replied 13 years ago

hbaber - Right? I don't always have the energy to go through all the pages of stuff on their site (or all the racks in the store), but this was a lucky find when I popped in to return something :)

    Debora - Thank you!

  • celia replied 13 years ago

Great looks as always.I think nobody mentioned it before but I think the turquoise necklace on #2 is a very nice touch.

F21 overwelms me, I bought a jacket there last year but that's just about it. I have great admiration for people who can find fab stuff there.

  • Aida replied 13 years ago

Celia - Thanks very much! I made the turquoise necklace in #2 :) I find F21 the store far more overwhelming than the website, but it's hard ordering without being able to try things on since their sizing is inconsistent (and you can only return for store credit).

  • celia replied 13 years ago

I'm impressed, the necklace is really pretty.
I know what you mean about F21, still you can find great things there.

  • Anh replied 13 years ago

Stripes are so in now and love the trench!

All four are great, but I'm especially partial to 3 (super-fun plaid tunic!) and 4 (gorgeous silhouette and color on you and perfect with the brown jacket).

  • Aida replied 13 years ago

    Thanks Anh and Jonesy!
