Started shifting my wake-up time in hopes of ultimately getting up early enough to have my husband take outfit photos :) All of these were worn to work.

  1. Some spring-y colors, as our snow all melted away. I don't wear pink nor yellow often.
  2. This is an "I had to get up early to go to the dentist and get 2 crowns and then go to work" outfit. The scarf was meant for the outerwear, but I kind of liked it with the sweater so I just left it on. Now that it's less early and the novocaine has worn off I think it would pair better with a black top so it's truly high contrast.
  3. Wanted to pair red+camel, and these pants are the closest to camel I've got. I rather like the combo; loved the pants with the black+navy for the outerwear. (EDIT: I promise these are PPL, but I had a knee brace on my right leg that kept making the pant hike up during photos.)

They're all lovely, but #3 has me just in orbit!! Everything about it is FAB FAB FAB!!! That color combination is perfect on you!

  • taylor replied 13 years ago

    Oh yes, everything is FAB!!

The red with the camel is super fab! Love that combination--gah, it's perfect! The pants do look pretty close to camel--just a bit richer. I think this color suits you better. 1 and 2 are classic Aida. Not 100% sure about the scarf in 2 but it's kind of growing on me : ) Glad to see you're getting lots of wear out of that giant pearl--it's so pretty!

Thanks ladies! Glad you like the color combo in #3, I think it's my current favorite pairing! Not sure what this pant color is actually called; I've been calling it "honey" but it's got more orange than yellow. I am hoping to pick up one or two pieces in this color to wear with white for spring, too! (Namely, slouchy shorts and possibly a billowy silky blouse.)

Kelly - I thought at first the scarf in #2 was one of those things where it looked better in the photo than in person, but it grew on me too! Still not 100% sure about it myself :)

Love the spring colors in #1!

#1 is also my favorite, you do soft pastels really well. Great color combination in #3, I would not have thought of it. Thanks for the idea!

Tying the scarf like a pussy bow is totally genius, it looks like you have PB blouse underneath.

You look beautiful, Aida. The red and camel combo is BEYOND fab!

I love the pretty, pretty scarf in pic #1 but i agree, #3 is where you truely shine, those colors look great on you!

Thanks for the lovely comments everyone :D

Bella - That's exactly what I was thinking! Tying this way with a narrower neckline would improve the illusion; I plan to try that soon :)

Lovely outfits Aida. Everything you put together looks so deliberate, on purpose. I'm not sure how you do that. I also love the red/honey combo. Very nice.

Loved 1 until I saw 3. Three is defintely the best of the bunch.

Love 3. You wear red well!

  • Laura replied 13 years ago

Love #3's red sweater and long statement necklace! And of course, I enjoy seeing you in my black trenchcoat. = )

As everyone said #3 is great! But I'm also crazy about your outerwear pics from #1. That coat, with the scarf and the way you have tied the scarf, all of it together is just very nice and polished!

    Thanks everyone!

Morethanbeige - I have spent a lot of time analyzing small details (it's the engineer in me) and how they affect the final look. My outfits are almost always an experiment in something (color, shape, style...); hopefully they don't look TOO deliberate ;)

Laura - I love the trench coat SO much! I've been wearing it every day that's warm enough to. Thank you again :D
