WIW 02.04 semi-tucked look for Angie

I know I haven't posted my outfits from this week yet, but I wanted to post what I'm wearing today: a semi-tucked look I tried a la JCrew for Angie (based off the 4th look on this blog post). I rather like it! My button-up is super soft cotton that's got some drape to it; I left the bottom button undone to keep the tucking slouchy looking. Also added a back shot so you can see that it looks quite normal from the back as well.

Comments, critiques, thoughts and questions welcome.

You look better than the J.Crew models, Aida. Did anyone tell you to tuck the rest of your shirt in today?

  • Aida replied 13 years ago

Not yet but I assume my husband will tell me I've got the corner accidentally tucked in when I see him later today ;)

    EDIT: Also, thanks!

You look great tucked! I prefer your version over the JCrew too. I'm not sure I could pull that one off without all of the other mom's telling me that I forgot to finish tucking. It looks edgy on you--I'm afraid I'd look disheveled!

Really nice, and I love the side tucking!

Thanks ladies, I always like when experiments come out successful. Kelly, I will admit that until I did my hair and added jewelry it did look much more disheveled. I think having the refined accessories and actual hairdo helps keep it looking like it's on purpose, at least for me (you always have your hair done nicely though, so that part shouldn't be a problem for you hehe).

This looks so great on you! Love that corner hanging out there un-tucked and all! Also, love your striped cami peaking out from your plaid shirt. Very Aida looking! Thanks for posting!

I want to see a bot of girly lace under that plaid shirt. Takes me back to my own grunge days :)

Thanks everyone! It was a fun experiment :)

Angie, the neckline of the camisole is lace, but it doesn't really show up well since it's white. I don't wear much lace, but I do have a cream long sleeve lace tee. I'll give that a go under one of my plaid shirts!
