MaryK - We're officially shoe twins!

I finally got those sweet Madden Girl turquoise patent pumps, and wore an outfit in brown and red inspired by your WIW yesterday. Just thought I'd share real quick :)

Great shoes! Nice colour combination too.

    KILLER shoes!

Thanks! I was worried that they might be too colorful but then decided that hey, my pants are already "colorful" so may as well just go for it. I love these shoes, and am looking forward to testing their all day potential; I've a feeling they'll do well, especially since the heel is thicker and shorter than what I usually wear.

Aida, these shoes have been real wardrobe workhorses for me -- even more than the black and red ones in similar styles! They're just so, so... FUN!

It's my second colorful shoe (the other is red) and I'm hoping to break out of my "must wear neutral shoes" thing with these! I think I like these turquoise more than the red :o

The thing I really like about the color is that it's really beautiful but it's not too bright. To me the intensity reads more like a brown or gray or black than a red or yellow. You know?

  • Aida replied 13 years ago

Definitely! I like the low intensity, not just because it's new for me, but it really does match my wardrobe perfectly. My red ones are RED red and definitely POP.

Oh - I love those shoes with the pants! Gorgeous color combination!

Nice shoes! The do not look bright on my screen - is it dark turquoise?

  • MsMary replied 13 years ago

Yes, it's a nice darkish teal.

  • Aida replied 13 years ago

Yeah, as Mary said, it's a dark turquoise but still somehow a fairly saturated color. I was expecting them to be a lot lighter so I was pleasantly surprised to find them dark like this :)
