  It's lovely to see you again, especially when you are looking so lovely! The jacket and coat are super fantabulous! And I am jealous of your jeans, which appear to be staying nice and skinny. (I recently had a sad bagging experience with skinnies and continue to smart about it.)

  OH, WOW! The colors, the "camera look," the jeweled necklace, I'm in love with every photo in the collage and your coats are fantastic. The combination of navy, black and red is just amazing and you've opened a door for me, Aida. Your smile makes me miss you and I hope you have fun wherever your festivities take you. Wish I lived closer, so I could join in on the YLF one.

  Suz, boo that's no fun. I've had that problem with some jeans as well. I do two things to help mitigate: I generally look for thicker and/or non-stretchy denim; it seems to hold shape much better, and lycra seems better than spandex (I could be wrong). For the thin stretchy denim that I DO have, I generally only wear 2-3 times then wash or they bag too much at the knees. And of course, wash inside-out with cold water and air dry always. I hope you find a great non-bagging pair!

  Claire, yep (this is the red blazer from LA, too)! This is actually the first time I've worn the necklace (I found it hiding in tissue).

  Aida, I love the way you do your photos. The red jacket is stunning and I love the coat. Beautiful necklace too. I really appreciate how you create a young and funky look but also incorporate classic pieces (like the jacket and the necklace. You look great and it's lovely to see you back on the forum.

  I love the Autumn feel of these pics Aida! The skinnies and skivvy (that's what we call "turtlenecks" but I've got a bad feeling it means undies where you are?) are timeless, being current and nodding to mod style - and could that coat be any more adorable on you? I love the illusion of shading the pattern creates, and the pleats on the hem!

  I have missed seeing you post here or on your blog. I really love the dark denim on you ( I've mostly seen you wear lighter shades on you)- with that red blazer especially it is a wonderful combination on you.

  BTW, your comments about wearing the CH boots really resonated with me. I threw out my "go to" pair and am wearing my CH. The "go to" boots had a tear in the pleather so it was time : ) thx!

  Ana, in case you do decide to get this jacket, I feel it runs a bit large; I had to size down 2 sizes for this snug fit, 1 size down would still fit but be a bit looser.

  Andrea, ooh that is a great observation about the cool/hot! I think I've been doing this lately without realizing it, very nice to be able to identify exactly what it is that's drawing me; I love the idea of cool one way and hot the other. I will be sending you lots of good vibes for the show!

  Deborah, thank you very much. You know, for a long time I really rebelled against most classic pieces but more recently I've definitely been drawn to finding ways to incorporate them into my outfits in a way that's true to me. Glad to hear it's working!

  Una & Rae, yep this red pretty is the LA jacket. I've been on a random kick of not wanting to wear jackets/blazers for a couple weeks for some reason, but I must admit it was nice to wear one again :)

  Sona, good call on the lighter pants. I do mood dress, so in cold weather especially I tend to dress very darkly. But honestly after my light-colors-only experiment this summer I think I'm actually happier in lighter colors. Last winter I had 2 dark corduroy pants so most of my bottoms were dark; but this year I just have the black pants and all the rest are light. I would love to get a pair of dark gray jeans!

  Heather, the red blazer is indeed from Express (good eye!). I think it also comes in cobalt :)
