Friday, Saturday. Had < 5 min to dress Friday, and while the look is simple I must say having a wardrobe with well-fitting pieces makes these types of quick outfits far more successful than how they used to turn out. Saturday's was worn out to Shorties (pinball bar) with my husband, sister, and her boyfriend. Comments, critiques, thoughts and questions welcome. Hope you all had a great weekend!

Hi Aida! It is so funny for me to see you rugging up as I am busy shedding layers (living in Aus!). That place sounds like great fun - I hope you had a great time!
Now, I would describe your first look as being very functional. I agree that your jeans in particular are a great fit and I am absolutely not an expert, but the pant length looks fabulous to my eye! :-)
I'm going to be honest and say that I'm finding the top a little disconcerting to my eye though. I keep thinking that it just isn't doing you the justice that I think you deserve as you look like you have a lovely figure and it is being distorted slightly by the stripes.
Look #2 is very nice and my favourite! Firstly, I really, really like the jeans! (What brand are they?) I love the simple lines of this outfit and think the only change I would suggest would be to add either a scarf or a long pendant necklace to just emphasise the vertical lines which have been created by the jacket open over the top. Go you! I look forward to seeing more of your posts.

They are some well fitting jeans! Also, I love the first jacket - is it velvet or corduroy? Either way it's really nice, I love me some texture :)

Katiepea, Srujana - I found the jeans at Zumiez (teen skater shop) of all places. I know it's generally ill-advisable to shop in junior's clothing, but honestly at this point in my shopping career if I spot a great pair of jeans I certainly won't pass on it just because they're juniors; jeans are hard enough to find as is ;) I bought them a size up to keep the fit a bit looser, and they're currently my fave bootcut pair! It's these jeans here but in a darker wash I think:

Aida, you have great style. I would agree with Katiepea that a scarf would just make the outfit look all the better, but apart from that, lovely!
