WIW 08.01 [triangles in the sand]

I had triangles in my head after Rabbit's threat yesterday on triangle print clothes, so this morning I pulled out one of my favorite triangle things, an apple-green triangle print tee. I love the cheerfulness of apple green but never feel quite right in it, so for the most part I have to enjoy it on others. However the huge amount of white in this top makes it possible for me wear :D It doesn't really show in the photos, but where the big white gap is in the center there are actually verrryyy faint blush and light blue triangles to continue the pattern.

A little less warm today so I opted to pair the top with white perforated flats and sand slouchy linen pants. I've been wearing these pants exclusively with the hems rolled BF style, but today I wasn't feeling the look so I left them unrolled. The longer leg line felt better with the boxy top, and no roll also makes for a slouchier more casual vibe with the hem break and especially with flats. Speaking of, the flats have little diamond shaped perforations which also plays into the triangle theme.

Hair up in the pomp-pony to play into the 80s vibe, long gold earrings for an extra bit of lengthening reinforcement, and matte candy pink lipstick to go with the yummy apple green. Chose my round sunnies to counter (or complete, depending on the math) the triangles, and my taupe clutch to add a little depth to the sandy color of the pants. I wouldn't say it's the most flattering look ever, but there's enough structure, color and texture interest, and overall lightness to make me happy.

Colourful and fresh colour combo of apple green and white/cream. Love the geometric print of this top.

Aida, I haven't been able to keep up with commenting on the outfits you've been posting, but your streak of light colors has been incredible!  This is a nice twist with the bright pattern.  And the hair rocks so hard!

Such fresh combo, love the apple green.  The pink lipstick  is the perfect complement.

I feel that there's enough structure with bare arms, scoop neck and hair up to make this work and the fresh light colours are lovely. I'm liking the subtle print and texture from top, clutch and shoes too. You look great!

Love the green with all the light colors, and love the pointy flats with the whole triangle theme. Great slouch on the linen pants too!

This outfit is refreshing and cool-looking. I like the slouchy linen trousers with the cropped top; they do look fine unrolled. I agree, the apple green works well on you, with all the white and cream mixed in.

You look so Apple-fresh and summery. I like the color and fit of your slouchy trousers, they look good unrolled.

So scrumptious. Makes me want lime gelato. Love how you were able to riff off the triangles.

Love this top, and love the tonal look with the light pants and taupe-ish bag and sunnies.   You've inspired me to experiment with lighter colors, because I think our coloring is fairly similar although my hair can be lighter at times.

Thanks very much ladies! This outfit made me smile much more than I expected that it would :D

Rabbit, I'm always happy to inspire the wearing of lighter colors ^^ Our coloring does look very similar (you might be more cool toned than me?), and with the dark hair it can really look quite striking. I tend to think of my light outfits more as "bright" because of how much white there usually is, and the built in contrast against my hair.

Thats a very pretty top! Love the entire outfit. You do low contrast outfits very well
