WIW 04.19 [another trendy casual classic]

Well hope ya'all can handle yet another outfit based on Angie's super ensemble! After a long day of rebarking in now-soaked gardening duds, I'm wearing this out for a very casual birthday dinner with hubby's dad. It's not warm enough for a tee, so I chose a striped sweater and thick ponte pants. Accessorized with dainty gold spike jewelry, gold sequined clutch, and went with distressed oxfords as my trendy shoe of choice. Now off for some Ivar's clam chowder, YUM!

    Oh yes, lovely, your TCC has features that I'll incorporate another time, swapping out the tee for a sweater and rolling the sleeves above the elbow. Very Caroline Herrera and so practical too.

    Latana, on the weekends "practical" plays a much bigger role in my dressing decisions! We don't have a lot of tee appropriate weather so I don't have many tees but DO have many striped sweaters.

    KC, I did debate whether I should wear a less glamorous purse but it was kinda gloomy out so I figured it'd be good to add my own sparkle :)

    Thanks Kelly, Pil, and K! The pomp-pony was gutsy for weekend wear as hubby doesn't like it, but he didn't say anything about it ;)

    I love how the gold clutch adds that unexpected pop of dressiness to your casual outfit. Everything comes together so nicely here - the shoes, the stripes, the denim - it all looks fantastic!
