WIW 03.24,29,30 (weekend outfits)

Here are my weekend outfits that sandwiched last week's work outfits. They also all matched the mint/tomato red manicure I had on. I spent much of the weekend doing some wardrobe editing, finalizing my spring shopping list, and sorting through a pile of boxes of online purchases (sent a very large percentage of them back *sigh*).

#1 - Worn to spend a day hanging out with my sis at home. I didn't like wearing my hair this way at its shorter length, so I'll be sticking to the pompadour-bangs rockabilly pony. I'm also thinking it's time to update these white sandals with a new-look pair. I've been eyeing these, if only my size would ever come back into stock.

#2 - Worn out with hubby and a friend, first for breakfast and then ice skating for the first time after going once some 25 years ago. I actually bought this little red sweater last spring during the end of winter sales, but put it away in too good a place and just unearthed it this past weekend. It photographed a bit orangey, but is really a true red.

#3 - Bonus ACTION (action) shot. I confirmed my suspicions that ice skating is hard! Also, that cashmere was far too warm a sweater choice ;) Pretty sure I made an "eek!" face the whole time (had to smile for the camera!), though I am glad that I was eventually able to move away from the wall and skate around on my own by the end of it ^^

#4 - Worn out for a quick bite, after finishing up all my closet stuff and hubby finished up in the yard. These faux-leather striped ponte pants were one of the few things I kept out of the box pile, and I just love them. They're super comfy, why have I not owned ponte pants before?? I felt very very happy in this outfit!

Wow you don't look panicky at all - I am in awe! Also of your great clothes of course. I love your ice skating outfit and the way you wear your cropped top in #1.

Hi Aida!  So nice to see you here again.

Love #2, copycat formulating as I type!  Also #3 -- just great.

These are such fab casual outfits! I love how they are stylish but look so functional too. This is what I aspire to on a daily basis. Especially love 4. You are so cute in hats! Love the action photo. You look like a pro :)

Hi Aida, you look great! I love you in those coral and red tones. Fingers crossed that the white sandals come back in stock. Yay for the ponte pants!

All fabulous weekend looks.  Great to see you post Aida.

Thank you for the lovely comments, ladies! :D

Shevia, oh I was much more panicked earlier, I just chose not to share those photos ;)

Kelly, "functional" is a thing I started trying to incorporate more of into weekend outfits this past year, though I know I haven't shared much of those here since I wasn't around. In warmer months, I need to be ready to romp AND still look presentable for eating out afterwards. It's a bit of a challenge! This past weakened I actually separated some clothing I can get down and dirty in that still looks good, and am working on making a proper casual capsule to go along. Long ways to go still, but that's one of my main focuses this year.

Great jobs with your outfits. I like the yellow plaid and the black pants.

I like the red and olive combo very much! That yellow plaid shirt is also so charming. Glad you are back on the forum and posting your looks; I missed them.

Cute! My favorite is #4--like the yellow shirt with black pants and your boots. #2 is fun too and makes me want to go find a pair of olive pants....

Nice to see you, Aida! I always enjoy your collage-like WIW photos. It's so nice to see the outfit from different angles. All of these are fab, but I'm especially fond of #1.

Love the skating shots!  You may have been warm, but the sweater is luxurious and lovely.  And your yellow shirt is a great choice in the PNW --- the warm color brightens any cloudy day!  I can't wear yellow near my face, but I grew up with a yellow room and loved it's cheeriness on gray winter days.

Nice to see you posting Aida. I missed you. Very you outfits, but the last one especially has the different vibe which I really like. Gorgeous sweater, I love your yellow shirt. Great action shot too.

My favourite is the last, the yellow and black. You don't look like a bumble bee; that's pretty skilled work!

Always enjoy when Fabbers share their casual outfits since that's easier for this MOTG to copy! ;)

#4 is my favorite. Please share links for that cute bag and the tuxedo striped ponte skinnies/leggings.

I love ice skating, but it is hard work! That red sweater is gorgeous on you. I *love* your last outfit, just perfect. :)

Thanks so much for the comments and compliments everyone, I really appreciate them!

AJ, sorry to say that the bag in #4 is a many-years-old Forever 21 bag, so no link for that. The ponte pants are these here from Nordstrom Rack, though it looks like none available at the site. Maybe they can help you find a pair hiding out at one of their stores?
