Thanks YLF

... for inspiring me to try things I never thought to try! I'm wearing nude microfishnets today for the first time, something I would never in a million years have thought to wear. Mainly because before coming here I had no idea these even existed. I'm pretty sure they're one of the most brilliant hosiery I've ever worn. Thanks for helping me push my boundaries :D

(Got these from Target, $8. Very light tan color, good for pale gals with olive tones. EDIT: These are actually by Hanes, not Target's brand; added a photo of the package. They seem like decent quality to me but I haven't owned expensive hosiery before so I have nothing to compare to except other non-premium tights :) )

Awesome! I feel the same way! I haven't seen them at Target -- will definitely have to look!

  • tarzy replied 12 years ago

I want to see the whole outfit! (I love watching your fashion evolution!)

  • bella replied 12 years ago

My target doesn't carry them in nude but I purchased them in black before and they are ok quality.

Mary, you are one of the main inspirations making me itch to try these out :)

Tarzy, aww thanks ^^ For you, a sneak peek of the whole outfit!

Bella, I would also describe the quality as OK. For the price, and just to try something new out, they are perfect. I will certainly get better quality hose once I wear these out.

Aida, that dress! How come we don't see you in dresses more often? You are a knockout!

    Fabulous dress and fishnets!

    And you are welcome :)

  • taylor replied 12 years ago

    Aren't those pretty on you!
I can't take any credit...I learned this here too!

Thank you Kari, Angie, and Taylor :)

Kari, I don't wear dresses often because I am a bit dress challenged >< I try lots on then get overwhelmed and unsure about which ones to take home so I just put them all back. Also they all seem to be empire waists or floral which I generally don't fancy (though I like this one). Glad geometric prints are coming back! I tried to suck it up today and bought several dresses in all new styles for me which I'll post for review so hopefully I can start to wear them more 0:)

You look awesome in that outfit, and I'm also intrigued by the nude fishnets. They're on my newly-adopted shopping wish list!

Wow. Blue is your color. So pretty. One of your best, I think.

Just bought a pair of Oroblu nude micro-fishnets on ebay and waiting for them to arrive. YLF inspiration for this pair, though I've owned nude fishnets before. We don't have Target yet in Canada -- can't wait til we do!!!

Love the dress on you!!! You should do it more often!

I love micro-f's too. They save summer for me. That dress is stunning on you!

I have a pair of 10 year old DKNY mini fishnets (bigger than micro) but this is the first I have heard of nude micro fishnets.

Beautiful dress and styling Aida! I like the dress with your hair like that, if feels feminine.

You're so pretty in that dress! I haven't yet felt comfortable trying the micro-fishnets things, but they look great on you. And I hear you on YLF helping us push our boundaries.

Same sentiments here! I also didn't know I should have some because I didn't know they were out there. Plus, I have just discovered about 1 1/2 years ago that I actually do like dresses (I have an equally hard time as you to find ones that I like and that fit) and definitely skirts (these are easy for me to find and I have quite a selection by now). Along with this wardrobe expansion come new challenges: tights, shoes, boots. I recently bought my first pair of nude tights (because in winter it's all opaque colors) from Vera Wang (Kohl's). I love them because they feel like opaques but have a micro micro weave to them (a little different from fishnets). I have the Target ones as knee highs for pants, but I found that the net is still too big in the ones I have. I'll have check out the ones you found. I would also like to try the Oroblus that everyone here loves.

Thanks for the compliments on the dress ladies :) Blue, turquoise, and red are my favorite colors to wear and dresses are no exception, hehe!

Janet, Denise, and Sarah you should give these a go! They're quite subtle, and add a little bit of texture and just a hint of bombshellness. Pretty fun for a nude tight!

Chouette, I really like dresses but waffle about which ones to buy which makes me think I'm not trying on the right ones. I have a MUCH harder time with skirts, not sure what the problem there is. Hosiery is my main accessorizing challenge at the moment, I think a lot of my footwear works with pants and dresses/skirts. I too want to try those Oroblus!
