OC Shoptoberfest loot!

I had a blast shopping with everyone down in OC, and as I told several of the ladies I actually enjoyed helping them finding pieces they needed much more than shopping for myself. Still, I came away with a great haul and was pleased that everything I purchased was on my list for fall. None of this is up for return, so hopefully you all like these items as much as I do :D

  1. TOPS. Cobalt blouse (Zara), floral sheer blouse (Topshop/Nordstrom), black/cobalt striped sweater (Marshalls), tan/cream/navy striped sweater (JCrew).
  2. JACKETS. Black military (gift from Una), bright coral blazer (H&M). There was also an amazing black leather jacket at Zara that I can't get out of my head, but perhaps it was a wee bit small (I totally forgot to snap photos). I'm keeping my eye on it, and if it goes on sale I will probably snag it.
  3. BOOTS. Olive flat foldover lace up boots by Steve Madden (Nordstrom Rack).
  4. ACCESSORIES pt1. Costume jewelry (Forever 21), two-tone snake belt (Marshalls), vintage dark brown leather belt (swap meet), black and white silky scarf (H&M, the photo isn't blurry, it's just a crazy print!).
  5. ACCESSORIES pt2. Taupe leather clutch with metallic pressed print (Lola 76, bought directly from the designer), pewter slouchy bag (Marshalls, planning to stud this cutie), sheer leopard tights (Marshalls).
  6. The lovely ring JulieJohn made!

As one of the few NOT on Team Wear, I have surprised myself by wearing a lot of these items this past week. I've already worn the cobalt blouse, black military blazer, boots, both belts, half of the jewelry, and the clutch! Clearly I did well :)

WOW, Aida! Because I wasn't in the party room and was not shopping in tandem with you, it seems, I missed seeing a lot of these purchases and they are awesome. I particularly love the clutch and pewter bag. Holy moley they are great. The floral sheer blouse is fab too. Of course, you dress so well, you must know how to shop. :)

(And also, I miss running around town with all of you :-(

WOW, you can ship all of your loot to me, thank you very much!

Wow, what a gorgeous haul! Those look like fantastic new tops; I love the way you have showed them with the black pants to give us a very clear perception of each on in turn against this blank canvas. I especially like the last sweater. And that military jacket!! WOW, that is super on you. If I owned that one I would probably never take it off. I also love the belts and that beautiful clutch. What a great haul!

I bet shopping with you would be a dream. I would love to have been there.

Yay! It is fun to "visit" these items again after they were whisked away with you to Washington. The cobalt/black sweater is still my fave, but everything is 100% fab! I cannot wait to see the bag get all studlied up. :)

Nice! That black military jacket is amazing on you. And that pewter slouchy bag...LOVE!

  • Transcona Shannon replied 7 years ago

Love them all! If you find that taupe clutch missing, please don't check my closet....just saying...

  • shevia replied 7 years ago

I will just add another wow to start! I really like the tops, and the one that especially got me is the JCrew sweater. It is simply gorgeous on you. Cobalt is a great color on you too of course. The jackets are great, the boots and accessories are fantastic, and although these aren't exactly the point, the black skinnies and loafers are just perfect on you as well.

*waving at my J Crew striped sweater twin*

Wow! I think "I did well" is the understatement of the century, young lady! I am pretty amazed that you managed to amass that amazing haul for yourself while dispensing such copious amounts of fashion wisdom to the rest of us, especially me!!

  • Aida replied 7 years ago

Thanks ladies! Glad to hear these are going over well, especially since with this trip I completed nearly all of my shopping needs for the season. I promise you'll see them all in action soon!

Nancy, I miss it too! I do wish I could shop with YLF ladies EVERY time I go shopping, it's such fun!

Suz, I was so thrilled that Una gave me the military jacket! And on top of that it's KNIT! I'm wearing it today, it's like a cozy structured sweater. And I'd be happy to shop with you any time :)

Rae, I'm hoping to order the studs soon. I'll definitely post photos once I get it finished! Planning to do a 3-wide checker pattern across the tops with flattish pyramids and then do spikes around the handle rings, all in brass. And perhaps also stud the bottom, not sure yet.

Mary, tee hee ^^ I am a sneaky shopper!

Aida, you have impressive Shopping Skillz. What a haul! Looking forward to seeing photos of your studded bag, as your influence has me considering studding one of my tunics.

Shannon, you can have the clutch, but I'm going to er, relocate that cobalt/blue sweater and Una's military jacket.

You can help me shop any time - I can't pick a favourite - maybe the boots by a whisker.

  • lyn67 replied 7 years ago

All are so you, Aida, but that clutch may be a bit more of me...would you pls. post it to me:-)!

  • Aida replied 7 years ago

Thank you ladies! I'm glad you all like these as much as I do :D

  • rachylou replied 7 years ago

No kidding about the Shopping Skillz! And style discipline too. Wow!

  • morethanbeige replied 7 years ago

Fabulous haul! Love, love, love the 2 jackets. Wow, that military jacket is so cool. Great sweaters too. You did good!

  • Aida replied 7 years ago

    Thanks Rachy and MTB!

Rachy, you know.. I think the style discipline was actually EASIER in the big group. Since we all had different styles, I was less inclined to try on things outside my own style because I could often see them on others in the group. An interesting observation for sure!
